A clinic has been set up to provide primary health care and dental care to eligible PAMASOR-RWANDA and the surrounding population
PAMASOR-RWANDA recruited Community Psychosocial Workers (CPW) who have been trained on trauma counselling and whose role is to take care of children supported by PAMASOR-RWANDA as a way to prevent trauma. Each CPW works with 8 households. SINAPISI intends to recruit and train 88 CPW.
TUSEME clubs have been created in 10 Schools District GASABO and each comprises 30 students and their purpose is to provide a forum for exchange of experience and knowledge on HIV transmission channels.
Holiday camps bringing together all children receiving PAMASOR-RWANDA services are held each end of the school year. These camps provide a space for exchange of experience and transmitting message on education system and health in general, HIV / AIDS in particular.
Community Health Insurance “Mutuelle de santé” is a medical scheme for poor families and vulnerable groups, including victims of gender-based violence, aimed at covering their medical costs.
Those are our targeted groups, so as usual, we have to pay health insurance for OVCs and their foster family members. Foster families are families who have received children from Peace Village Center after the government policy that every child must be raised in a family.
This year 2021-2022, we have paid for 38 Families made of 209 members from the following districts: Kicukiro , Gasabo, Nyarugenge, Rulindo, Rwamagana and Bugesera.
